A special oil, not only for its sentimental and supportive qualities but also for it being the first oil of the year.
Made from the greenest of the olives, to achieve an oil that is spectacular in every respect, the pursuit of oil with the strength of colour, aroma and flavour.
ABUELARI is a very special oil made only from the olives picked on the first day of the gathering.
This first oil from 2019, as well as having an exceptional intensity, will also become a ‘solidarity’ oil, sponsored by somebody with who we can identify as far as values are concerned.
ABUELARI is a name conceived by Jon Maia Soria, ‘Bertsolari’ (roughly translated as singer-poet) who dedicates this oil symbolically to his grandmother, who lost her olive trees in post-war Extremadura.
At the same time, and as decided by Jon, 30% of the sales from each bottle will go towards the school for ‘Bertsos’ (singer-poets), to help them with the task of spreading and keeping alive this oral tradition in Euskara.
